I sure you weren't spending too much time in English class.

I'm sure this will whet your appetite. Enjoy.

I cant seem to find the appeal, dosent this meant they are just going to cut it up and make it into a lawnmower or a mobile basketball court or some friggen lame thing, LOL.
They already had a new bug and made it into an air boat.

Those pics above are THE car from Monster Garage, AFTER they finished it. It runs about 10 seconds in the quarter mile.

This is getting confusing... Randy Carlson, one of the guys actually on the show, posted a note last week that had the airing date will be on October 10th...
They seem to be moving it around quite a bit.

They already had a new bug and made it into an air boat. The appeal is the fact that the split spent 19 years at the bottom of a lake. Then they saved it and put a badass 10 sec engine into it. Sound appealing? now it's up and running. Jesse james is into the old school dubs so he probably wouldn't do the basketball court thing. I like it. it's pretty badass. can't wait to see it. By the way Carlos what time will it be airing on the west coast?

Can't believe that GP actually got one over the heads of so many.

Actually I think it was more like a year and a half.

Sorry to jerk everybody around like this but the dipshits over at Discovery Channel have now changed the date BACK to October 3rd.

Just watch the friggin show every monday until you see it. You have my permission to turn it off if it's some sort of toaster tosser or PT Cruiser blender or something.

Actually I think it was more like a year and a half. 19 months? I apologize. Pothole? i think you are right. But now its double the appeal. 8)

Here is a picture of how it was found:

I've definately gotta watch it when it comes on, but I'm startin' to lose interest in that show. They used to turn Limo's into firetrucks & schoolbusses into party boats...they even made a giant pair of rock 'em sock 'em robots once. Now they turn cars into...faster cars. All that set it apart was that they would take a kids fantasy & make it real, now they just fix up a car like Pimp my Ride with an attitude.

ovalvwfan Tue Sep 20, 2005 8:12 pm

I agree...Monster Garage was a much cooler show when they made something into something totally different and outrageous. Now the main rule of it appearing stock has gone out the window...wasn't that the whole point of the show. But at the same time...I'm glad they didnt destroy an old bug. It was okay when they destroyed that new beetle tho!!
