Hi Guys,

I have just brought back 2 vans from California......I paid $1100 in the US to ship tye vans (each van).

Now they have just arrived in the Uk and have been told I will need to pay the extra charges below can any tell me if this is normal asnd what tehse charges mean?

CHARGES;-
Container service charge / line admin £134.00
LOLO (Load on load off for merchant haulage) £ 60.00
Government security fee £ 10.50
Bond fee £ 25.00
Container shunts to & from the warehouse £155.00
Devan 2 cars @ £65.00 each £130.00
2 x Import customs clearance`s @ £55.00 £110.00
All in agency / arangements £ 65.00
Total excluding UK customs taxes £689.50

I also need the vans to be transported from the port, Chatham to Falmouth, Cornwall they have quoted me below.

An indication of a haulage price Chatham to Falmouth would be
Approx £310.00 per car.... (£620.00)

Anyone got a better deal?

Any advise would be great.

as u say profits are becoming smaller.....not that I done it for a quick profit (thank god!) It was more to do with getting a rust free van....

How much were your UK customs taxes and what year were your Bussesw? I may have someone cheaper on the west coast but I get a "total" on my shipping.

shipping anything to or from the UK sucks. Even parcels. I figure double the price to send a box to the uk over the price to Europe.
