| Hey all! I have a child cot I'm preparing to install in a '78. Where do I attach the brackets? Photos and measurements would help greatly. Thanks, winter is approaching and I'm already preparing for summer campouts |

The photos are labeled RF, LF, RR, LR for Right Front, Left Front, Right Rear, Left Rear. I made drawings on the photos to show the approximate distance from the edges to place the brackets.
Right Front and Left Front - The bottom of each bracket needs to be 3 1/2 inches from the top of your dash board which is shown in the photo. The bottom of the bracket needs to tilt in 1/2 inch from the edge of your door pillar and the top needs to tilt in by 1/4 inch. As long as they tilt at the approximate angle shown in the photo then they should be fine. They do not have to be 100% correct.
Right Rear and Left Rear - The bottom of each bracket needs to be about 5 inches up from the top of the bar shown in the photo on the Left Rear and the top of the notch shown on the Right Rear. You can estimate how much to tilt them as long as they tilt or slant in the same direction as the photo shows.
DRILL BIT - You will need to use a 1/8 inch or 9/64 inch drill bit to drill the holes.
IMPORTANT - The brackets may be installed slightly higher than these 4 positions without problems, BUT if you install them lower than shown in the photos the hammock will fit much too tight.
After you install the brackets the easiest way to put the hammock in place is to install the front bar first. Then install the end of the back bar into the bracket behind the left front seat. Now that the hammock is in place on three corners you should be able to install into the bracket behind the right front seat. This method allows you to get the best clearance and leverage to pull and wrestle the hammock into the last bracket. You must remove your headrests to install the hammock.
PS
I highly encourage you to install the hammock with the telescoping poles first and use it a few times before you install the hammock with the solid poles. The brackets can be slightly off or placed differently with the telescoping poles, but the solid poles are not adjustable so the brackets must be place more uniformly. After installing and using the telescoping poles then installing the solid poles will make much more sense. |

| Thanks a bunch Ronan! Is that second photo on the right in front of a jump seat or something? The bar you show...where is it? Is mine possibly covered by casing around the front seat? Just confirming photo orientation. Thanks again, the pictures and measurements will help a lot!!! |

I believe that pic is taken from behind the drivers seat, and that's where the sink/stove would be right behind the bulkhead. |

| Amazing/helpful post. Any chance someone could post working photos of the bracket installation? I picked one up on CL and want to install in my Riviera. |
