My engine wont get warm :? It is very cold, about 19 deg. wind chill 10deg. And yes it's a weber prog. I've had really good luck with my setup even in cold weather. My engine is barely even luke warm after an hour of driving. I am having some carb icing but my air filter is enclosed in a box fed by the heat riser so it helps greatly. I am running 20w50 still and was wondering if I change to something else if that would make much of a difference. Also has anyone ever used that fuel/carb de-icer stuff and does it really help? |

Do you have a working thermostat and cooling flaps? I picked up an air cleaner for a 1970's ford pinto. They used weber a carb and the air cleaner fits the vw weber set up. what I planned on doing was using the warm air duct for the stock VW air cleaner (at the passenger side of the eng at the bottom of the engine flange) to feed warm engine air to my weber. The air cleaner was thermatic like any other of the day. I didn't do this, as I moved overseas and stored my bus for 8 years. I hope this is of assistance.
Best Regards,
