Interesting guess with the Crosley! I looked up some info on it and saw photos of its engine. The Crosley engine was a 750 cc inline 4 cylinder with overhead camshaft, but its valve cover had lateral raised ribs and there was no oil filler cap. In that search I found a Nash Metropolitan engine on which the valve cover and oil fill cap do look just like the "cab-over" car above. So busdaddy is likely on the right track. Now to find photos of Metro wheels without hubcaps to match the ones on the car above... |

Definitely not a crosley motor, I'm saying the frame is Crosley. A Metropolitan frame has arched rails. Metropolitan rims are 4 lug but they have two large holes opposite each other just outside the lug holes. I'm guessing that a Nash engine was dropped into a Crosley frame. Crosley motors were not known for their longevity, they did however use fairly stout Borg Warner transmissions in several models. |

I posted the photos over in the WTF thread. Let's see what a larger/different audience might think.

This is obviously some sort of post-apocalypse world where he's been affected by radiation :) |

A similar "airport control tower bus", spotted in the German crime drama TV show "Der Kommissar", "Ein Maedchen nachts auf der Strasse" (a girl on the road at night). The tower section is set farther back than on the one above.
