| I am planning on replacing the o2 sensor on my 1990 16 valve passat it spits a puff of black soot out of the exhaust on start up. Just wondering if anyone could give their opinion on whether I should go with the regular splicing kit or the waterproof kit. Both are from busdepot, price difference is $20. Thanks |

I always use the 'universal' Bosch 13913 sensor on mine. Solder the connections, and use a good watertight/glue-lined heatshrink tubing, and you should be fine.
Check out www.germanautoparts.com for the sensor as well - shipping from NY is only one day to ME via UPS. |
