You have to have the picture on a page that is just the picture and nothing else. On the page that it is on now, there is still that banner on the top.

Oh yeah... Looks good!

So your the one who beat me to this. I was away for a few days, called when I saw it for sale, and it was sold. If you ever get tired of it or find something else and want to move it, let me know.

Cheers,
Tom

I just figured it wasn't really worth it anymore , being a daily driver and all.

NorCalWeekender Sun Feb 15, 2004 10:51 am

It's nice! I like the very simple lines and you don't see maroon as a color much anymore. <nods> Very cool, and rockin the OG plates, too!

Ive done a little, I raised the rear a notch so it wouldnt look like I was about to loose a wheel goin down the freeway, I had a new TMI headliner installed, tmi door panels, Installed a rebuilt 1600 dp longblock and rebuilt 12 volt transmission, new window seals, and running boards. Im looking at buying a new exhaust, and installing a new carpet kit in the next couple of days. Im thinking of a Kymco Merged exhaust with a single quiet pack, or the Euromax dual glasspack, or the sleeper exhaust. I just gotta make up my mind.

They look cool that low but it sure is hard on the axle/drum components.

thats what bags are for, drive at stock height, drop it when you want.

And your bearings will love you

FunkFlex61 Mon Feb 16, 2004 11:17 am

Hey, believe me if I had the cash to put my bug on bags I would but untill then......

Nice Bug. Where did you get your engine and 12 volt Tansmision from. I'm looking for one for my 63. i wish I lived in high populated VW place so I could get parts easy but where I live nobody works with VDub stuff so if you have insights let me know thanks

I got both the motor and the transmission from Guality German Auto Parts in Montclair, CA.
