I was in central MN exactly one year ago today. The corn was almost three times as high as the photo. Much more than knee high, but that is as the saying goes.
For the record, I am 78.37% sure that corn will become ethanol, designed to destroy your fuel system. |

Quote: Any story on the excavation of it? Howd ya get it on the trailer, come on mans. Its time to tell the tale...leave us spellboun
Cheers Thomas d
Nothing too exciting. I got the bus on an online auction. They had a skidloader on site so i dug out as much as i could under the center of the bus and also dug the passenger front drum out. He was able to get the fork under the brake drum to lift it so we could block it up so he could then get under the middle of the bus and set it on the trailer. |

Sounds like fun. How far from home was it buried? No exact location necessary. |

It was over in wisconsin, about 150 miles away give or take a little. And yes the crops are doing pretty poor this year. Between all the snow we had and then the what seemed like constant rain it has taken its toll. |

Rusty but complete. Sat outside forever under vines and brush. Was only 20 minutes from my house. Closest bus i ever purchased to my house.I'm picking my brain on what year it may be. I feel its a 1959 being built on August 11 1959 but I cant remember if the year changes at the beginning or end of August. Any info would be appreciated! Thanks

Congrats on the 15 window find. Yes it is a 1960 model year. That would have come new with the Bastard motor, does it still have the Bastard? |

Yes, as "ronjohnvegas" said, it is definitely a 1960 model, and it came originally with a "Bastard" engine. Is the "Bastard" engine still in it? Bastard engines are pretty hard to find...
