So, about three days ago, I left my lights on for about ten minutes. Oops. The next day, my car turned on okay, but when I pressed the ignition button it died. I waited a few minutes, and everything started fine. Then this morning, same story, except for the starting fine part. The car is totally dead. The battery's new. Would leaving the lights on for ten minutes be enough to drain it that much, or does this seem like a bigger problem? Help!

10 minutes shouldn't hurt your battery.

Clean the terminals and cables, double check you have a good ground.

MAke sure the terminals are thight on the battery. If they are just on, the car will not start.

It definitly sounds like a connection, and if the battery is new it will most likely be the source. THere is always a chance that the starter wire that comes from the battery came loose. This happend to me with the same results as you describe.
