Check with RLR (Ron Lummus Racing) - http://ronlummusracing.com/
Mike Lawless used the RLR roll cage in his Super Gas '65 Ghia, check out the pics of Mike's roll cage install: http://home.comcast.net/~mlawless29/rollcage.htm |

Does anyone know of a cage maker for the Ghia besides RLR? I contacted them and they are unable/unwilling to build a cage to a different set of standards (FIA). |

Why FIA standards? Are you planning on racing the car in Europe in a sanctioned event? In most VARA, SCCA, or NASA races in North America, if the cage is SFA rated, it'll be quite good enough. Just be sure it's properly padded - and avoid driving a cage-equipped car without a SA-rated helmet on your head. |

Yep, that's what I've been thinking about. Plus, even if it never actually makes it across the pond, FIA cages look to be a lot more conservative. |
