I just bought some Audi wheels from a 1999 A4, they may need some center hole mods, but who cares, awesome wheels for el cheapo!

dreaming is always fun...:(

sound alot like me at the moment

haha except you appear to have a reliable vehicle (ford focus) to drive to school...i drive the bus...

which saves money on lunch (cup noodles and propane stove :D)

sounds like me, only I sprung for the BFGs before university ate all my money and I found myself living in my car again. sure makes the commute shorter tho. And I am gonna miss those BFGs, they are moving on to a better home on a buddys bus up in NH, and will help fund my new rims and tires. got the rims, need some super thin spacers to make the centers work, and then I am off to order some tires for it.

I clear my garage door opener by 2", fearful of what a set of BFGs would do to that.

That's all thats really holding me back, and waffling between the more old school knobby tires.

And the fuckin Hankooks just don't wear out.

My BFGs were the now discontinued 27x8.5s, not much taller than stock, i think an inch and half, which means 1.25 taller car. you will be fine. Unless you go 31x10.5

Wouldn't a 1 1/2 inch taller tire raise your bus 3/4 inch?

And did you have to do any mods....to install On the rear you need to remove the two bolts that hold the brakes hub on, they are only there for the factory during assembly anyways so the drums stay put. On the front the centers need a small amount of dremmel work to clear the caps. They are 15" rims

Do you have a 2.5 drop in the front and one click in the rear.

Do the og mercedes rims centers need hogging out to fit on a 77 bus or will they bolt right on?The rims i'm talking about are the same ones as the Go Westy rims?Any pics of a stock height Westy with the Fuch replicas anywhere?I couldn't find any:(

Ok I couldn’t wait to share.
I just picked these up on Craig’s list. $240 for all 4.The tires are 195/60/15. And are dry rotted. But the rims are going to be great. I will post again after they are on. My plan is to do a 2.5 drop spindle in the front and maybe one spline in the rear if needed. I will need tires, I was thinking 205 /65/ 15 to fill the fender well better after the drop. or maybe new 195 /70/15
