View original topic: Deluxe stuff in a single cab?

I have been looking at this single cab this past week and I noticed that it had a dash clock and the dash appears to be original it also had a painted chrome front emblem and deluxe trim on the front bumper. There is nothing on the m-code to indicate any of this so I was wondering if this was abnormal or usual or what. I always just thought that single cabs were about as fancy as a kombi. Any thoughts?

Also how exactly does bumper trim attach to a bumper? I don't see any holes in the rear bumper for any.

Owner add on is my guess.

The deluxe trim has 3-4 screws that screw in from behind the rubber insert, that will usually get messed up if you try and remove it!

I've found that it's easiest to use a dremel to cut the back of the screw off, then tap the remainder of them out. Then you have the trim with the rubber still in it off of the bumper and you can push the rubber out from behind. That way, you don't mess up either the trim or the rubber.

Look real close to the middle of the windshild pllars, you can see were the nose clip was grafted on. also the backside of the nose is sealing wax red, and the m-code tag says the color is white. It had me puzzled for a minute as well. I refused to leave until I figured out why. you will also notice that is a 63 with bullet turn signals.

are you serious about buying it? My dad want a single probably as bad as you and I combined, and hes most likly going to hold out. for that kind of money I can get one from out west, and it would still be cheaper in the long run.

I looked at a 1967 double cab advertised locally that had an M code for deluxe options with a sunroof and skylight delete. It had a clock in the dash and was not clipped.

It would be interesting to see a picture of the M-code plate on that truck

I think so too 8) I made a deal on it, went home to get my trailer while the owner dug up the title and right when I got home he called back to say he sold it to someone else *sigh* ... a nephew or something

No pictures, my digi cam battery was dead. It was in a little town near Indy behind a flower shop under a tarp. Anyone here know who got it? It was a rusty but complete 1967 DC bought around March last year (2005)
