Well recently I’ve noticed my rear drum brakes locking up before my front disc brakes.
Front brakes are good and same with drum brakes.
Where should I start? |

Remove wheels, then the drums and see if grease is leaking out of the axle seals. |

Yes, pull the rear drums and look for leaks |

Sorta depends on the year bus…
If you have a late bay with a proportioning valve, I would run the Bentley tests on rear brake pressure. It sounds like they're locking prematurely, so either they're getting too much pressure, or your friends are in really bad shape… Start looking for a good used proportioning valve now, as they're not made new and I don't think the rebuild kits are any good, if they exist.

could be
rears are too tight
rears are contaminated
fronts aren't working well
front side of master is needs bleeding or is failing
pistons in front calipers are not sliding smoothly
proportioning valve is going bad
Could be any of the above. |
