Hello. I just moved to Omaha, Nebraska and I am sad to say I haven't found any vw shops similar to the Karl's custom, BAP, and Competition engineering that I am used to. Any one know of vw shops in or around Omaha?
Thanks alot.

Find out about a very active VW club in the Omaha/Lincoln area.
Get a hold of 15Windows...Mike, and a few others. They will hook you up.
I have done some machine work for folks up that away. I have family in Omaha also. Might be there for summer.
cheers. |

I think a lot of the Nebraska folks are up in the Black Hills this weekend on a VW cruise so good answers might have to wait till Monday when they get back.
I'm out in Grand Island and there's places I would recommend out here, but Omaha and Lincoln are a mystery to me. |

try Dick Bozarth he is probably the best ACVW mechanic in Omaha. I lived there for 35 years and always had good luck with anything I ever took to Bozarths garage for repair. I don't recall his number (been living in Phoenix 8 years) but if you get ahold of Phil Cram at Cram Foriegn auto parts he can get it for you. |

Hey, hows it going. I didn't get to go to the Blackhills with the others. Lincoln doesn't really have a VW shop per say to get work done at but Omaha does. Like they mentioned, Bozarths is good (I haven't done business with them but they come highly recommended especially for older stuff) and Cramm Foreign Auto. Phil has his parts store on 4006 Q Street 402 731-7098 (800 805-7098) and he just opened a satellite store up north. The second store does auto and resto work plus parts in stock. And FYI if you are looking for car clubs there is the Omaha VW Club, they are on the web and have a show this weekend June 10th at the Gretna Outlet Mall out on I-80. They have camping friday and saturday night. Adam Silverman or Wade Rodman at the north location can fill you in. Website for info is www.omahavwclub.com. The other club that is close is the VW Club of Nebraska based out of Lincoln, NE. We have no website but do post a monthly(kinda) newsletter. We cover more of the outstate VWer's and we have monthly meetings in Lincoln. I'm club prez so if you want more info and a comp newsletter pm me. There's also Tri-Cities VW club located in the Grand Island/Hastings area. Good luck. Mike Quint Hastings, NE
Oh I did forget, Bob Nissen of Lincoln is another contact for engine work. Bob's retired and works out of his garage doing mostly engine work. He has a helper that you would want to talk to if you need something. His name is Matt and he helps out after he gets done at his other job. PM me if you need numbers. |
