He was more than easy to work with, always responded promptly to questions and emails and The products he supplies are actually better than what he represents them to be. I would recommend dealing with him anytime and for anything he is selling. I have purchased a lot of parts from different suppliers and I have as yet to find one that is better to deal with
Thanks Ricardo for providing the quality product you supply.

Bought an OG used part and some repro split window beetle rubber parts from Ricardo, including a windscreen seal and trim clips. Items all look high quality - very nice indeed! Given the response above (for the windscreen seal), I think fit is going to be good too!! :D
As others on this thread have said, don't worry that Ricardo is along way away (I'm in the UK), everything is dealt with easily and efficiently by e-mail communication.
Thanks Ricardo!!

I ordered Ricardo's reproduction split coil. It is exactly how he described and is simply fabulous! I am very happy that I don't have to hunt down an original star coil, because I feared not only the cost, but the reliability.
I haven't installed it yet, since my 25hp engine is not ready to run (awaiting generator/D-voltage regulator rebuild), but I am looking forward to the day when I crank it up with Ricardo's creation.
Ricardo answered every question and responded quickly with his emails. Securely packed in bubble wrap & packing peanuts and shipped with confirmation/verification, so no worries.
I would not hesitate to order from Ricardo again, which I will be doing very soon! :D
Gotta give this guy props for doing what he's doing. IMHO, I think he's a valuable asset because of my inexperience in the split world and is making my restoration a fun and attainable one.
A big Mahalos (Thank you) to you Ricardo!

I wasn't kidding when I said I would order from Ricardo again. :D
I just received his reproduction split running board aluminum moldings. They were carefully packed in a PVC pipe. There was so much care to the wrapping, that it took me a long time to unwrap them!
The moldings are just as he described. There was a choice of getting them in raw form (with production scratches), or polished. I chose the raw ones since my split's body moldings aren't polished.
I know these are just moldings, but I'm very impressed with their quality. They don't seem like cheap ones from the Far East. They have a very solid feel.
My split didn't come with any running boards (or the moldings), so I can't compare these to originals. But I'll take Ricardo's word for it!
I also ordered the split running board mats, clips , and hardware from Ricardo. I'll let you know how those are when I receive them.
BTW, I will be mounting all these to Wolfsburg West's bare running boards (which I believe are from Mexico). WW told me that they have a better fit, so I'll try it.
Mahalos again Ricardo!
