have a 85 westy 1.9. Rough idle until it warms up. doesn;t matter if it wet or dry out. New owner so this might be an easy one for the vets. plan on replacing all vaccum hoses as soon as my silicon hoses arrive. |

Lots of possible causes, but Temp Sensor 2, the coolant temp sensor, waits at the top of the list. |

Check the throttle position switch, grounds, and like you stated the vacuum hoses. |

open the hatch and look down to the bottom left side....you'll see the sensor attached with a square connector that has a spring/circlip that you have to depress to get it off. It's about a 3 minute operation to switch em out, the sensor only costs 19 bucks new, and you lose about 1 teaspoon of coolant.... :lol: |
