Oh guys, I went to the junkyard in millington. It was kinda a waste of time. they crammed about 35 vws in the back corner, and the only things that are plentiful are rust and wasps. |

they do have a few good ones, I'd go there if I had to get a new door or something, but most of the good stuff has been picked clean. |

I'm in Dexter, but my '60 Ghia is in storage in Ypsi and it's been out of sight, out of mind for much too long.
So many projects, so little time... and money... and space... |

The SCS cruise is a GREAT cruise... not overwhelming like Woodward, and traffic seems to move along OK. Friendly and niceliy organized! |

As my Elk Rapids buddy indicated, I am in Traverse City. You can read below about my stash, and I have more spread across the fields of northern Michigan.
I currently have a super that I would gladly give to any of you. You missed the chance to have a 412 this spring, but that has been crushed as was the 73 Rusty Rusty square back.
I have an associate with 60+ type ones up here too. Parts? Let me know.
I am currently working on the Double Cab, the 23 Window and kicking around putting together the 56 Ghia...
At some point it might be nice to meet some of you, I have plans to meet Brian McClure here shortly.
Anyone else in the north? I know Ed Karmann (president of Mi V VW C is in Pelston)...

I like the sounds of the junkyard down there :!:
There is one up here but the cars are pretty picked through. However, it is worth the trip. It is by Bellaire and you just drive in with your tools and start wandering around. No organization at all one of the brothers that owns it looks as if he never ever showers. I have to go back...Every time I go there I see another bus that is hidden from view.
I'm frm Warren, and I've been to that yard before. I pulled up in the evening, an hour or two before dark. I did some looking around, but I the owners didn't look too friendly. I got out of there before anything strange happened. |
