VW gathering at the Elm Grove McDonalds just off I 70 exit 4 (from the West), or exit 5 (from points East).
Meet at Elm Grove McDonalds at 6:30-7 PM Wednesday, August 2nd then a short cruise to the Moundsville, WV McDonalds, arriving there at around 8 or so.
Not a show, just a gathering for VW folks. If there is enough interest, we want to try to plan some other things. Bring whatever you've got!
All VWs and enthusiasts welcome. Hope you and your VW can make it.

Yes, it was a great time and we had a much better than expected turnout.
Pretty impressive number of cars for a first time event.
Everyone that I spoke with wants to do it again, and we are going to set something else up in the next few weeks.

So who in Wheeling is into VWs? I'm a displaced Mountaineer from Elm Terrace.
I got my first VW from Bill Cruise VW a long time ago... '84.
Any CCHS alums in the group? |

Elm Terrace? We were just about in sight of that.
We had Volkswagens from Belmont, Martins Ferry, Lansing & St. Clairsville, OH, and Wheeling, Moundsville & Cameron, WV, plus some outlying areas.
Nineteen cars in all, which is small by West Coast or metropolitan areas standards to be sure, but this is Wheeling, WV, where you could go weeks without seeing any air cooled VWs. We were noticed.
There were also several others that for one reason or another couldn't make it this time, but want to make the next one.
Pretty sucessful for a first time cruise, I thought.
Don't know about CCHS Alumni, though.
