$3k Cdn for a 1984 not running van. Body looks nice enough. Would snatch it up if I were closer and had space!
Write up is far too long to copy in here. |

For ~$2300 USD, not bad I'd say!
Whats it cost to import a vehicle? |

I think by the time you put $10k (+?) into rust repair, you'll be getting into Westy pricing pretty quick. It kind of looks to me like there might be some repainted areas over the rust. So it's likely much worse than it looks. If you leave the body and rock it as is, it probably won't take too long before the fix costs double. I don't think it's a terrible price. Maybe fair at best, but not a deal in my opinion. At least compared to what I've seen, bought, and sold over recent years. I'm sure it will sell as a 'starter van' to someone looking to get into a Vanagon at a lower price point. |

CA titled diesel van with a Suby, great starter for 2021 IMO, especially given the increase in prices 8) |

Even though this is a purported running engine, since it's now in a non running and an incomplete conversion, IMO, the price should be lower, in spite of it being an AW.
To my eye, the exhaust was built to a stock oil pan. i.e. it may not have a shortened oil pan, as many suby swaps have. That may not be a deal breaker but the stock oil pan is something one might use to talk down price.

The 'more loaded' Weekender edition, with Sink Cabinet, Headbanger and Rear Cabinet, jump seat, Pop Top etc. I even love the Color....

Not a nice van by any means, but looks to maybe have some parts that can be used / taken apart. Or even fixed up if you can get it even lower. |

Cons:
- engine doesn’t fire
- some minor body damage
Well in terms of cons those are big ones. Haha. |

1990 Carat that seems like it could be a fair deal. Low miles, straight body.

Running and driving 91 for $2500? I'd be calling if I didn't just buy an 84 tintop.

Looks like a VW specialist shop too, so they can probably tell you exactly how bad it is. |
