does anyone know where you can get a pair of arm rest that mount to the seats for an oval? Or does anyone have any plans on how to make them? Any help would be welcomed. THANKS!

When you buy Kochs armrest, it comes complete- less the upholstery. It comes with a 3pc aluminum bracket to attach the armrest to the seat frame.

I don't think so, because the one's I've seen were only able to attach to right of the driver's seat. You might check with Coad........I think he has an original one. There was even a double one made but it too attached to the right side of the driver's seat. :?

I just looked at mine. I could reverse the bracket and mount it on the opposite seat in my 55. I think it should work.

They are really nice to have on the car.

Yes, it'll work. I've seen Ghias that use two of the amrests since those cars have a wider area between the seats.

If the arm rest could be rotated.........I can see how it would work, but I just looked at the one I have, and it is welded to a piece of metal that cannot be reversed. I guess it would depend on how it was originally made. :?

If it helps I'm pretty sure the round pipe between the clamp and the armrest itself started life as a piece of electrical conduit pipe then it gets slightly flattened at both ends.

The armrest itself is a block of wood with a notch in it to hold the pipe and a nut and bolt drilled through to hold the pipe in place. Easy enough to make especially since even if you buy one you still need to have someone cover it with vinyl or cloth anyway.

The arm on mine is crimped on the inside edge to fit up against the seat frame. I don't see any way that it would look correct on the passenger seat, but the one in the photo could easily be reversed.

I haven't seen any sell within the last year, but depending on condition, as high as $400. (especially with the way the EURO is going now.)
