No price as he didnt know what it was(Karmann Ghia). When I said it was a VW he said "weve got those" so I am sending my friend with a pic of the car so it can be indentified by the guys who work there, but I cant imagine it will be much. I am hoping for 200 or 300 dollars but I am never that lucky. I guess I will have to not seem too desperate but it
will be tough.

Shit, That lowlight needs to be pulled out and rolled! ( OR fixed.. )
My new POS - 68 ghia vert... sitting in the woods for ATLEAST 20 years the man said. Here is EXACTLY as I found it
Hung out with the old man and worked out a price... $75 bucks. Drug it out and got it home just a few days back!
He had the OG decklid so thats a plus!
Bought those haggard bumpers for $60 yesterday... great deal for two bumpers
That HUGE dent in the front fender and the pass. 1/4 panel were both done with the mans tractor years ago
Found the Nosebadge, headlight rings, nose grilles and taillight parts from an early ghia sitting in my town for cheap
The car has 0% of the floors left but its in the works! |

Dad bought it in 80's, and after 21 years of sitting in a garage....
It's mine
I guess he's getting old to be working on cars. Oh well. I'll let him drive it at least once when I'm done with it. (whenever that may be.) |

I found this one last year, I still have it, it is looking much better now. Added disc brakes, Repo Porsche Gasburners, narrowed front,
NOW!

You guys are brutal.
When people link them to photo hosting sites that the link doesn't work, its really not up to the reader to search to see if perhaps the person also added it to the gallery.... |

I just got back from a local hunting spot where there was some ghia stuff. here are some of the parts I got:
here is the april 1957 ghia that I didn't buy. it is available, and can be had for a few hundred dollars. it is in northern idaho, about 15 miles from moscow, idaho. if anyone is interested, let me know and I will hook you up.

Nice Okrasa head Lind!
Hopefully some decides to save that ghia. It looks a little rough, but not gone. Quite the paint scheme on it too. I like the burlap seat cover.. |

A neighbor of mine had a car covered for about 8-10yrs, couldn't hardly see it much less tell what it was. Last year the cover rotted off..... this was underneath.
'1968'
He said the motor was seized/didn't run and the tranny was shot. Pretty much all original, good bumpers, glass, ect.... Got it for $500
Took it home and had it running in 2 hrs and on the road 8)
Straight has hell, minor damage on the passenger front panel, little rust in the usual places but not too bad, nose cone is perfect :D
Not bad for my first Ghia. Planning on doing a body off restoration. |

| I hate you  why can't I find deals like that! I don't see any rust. If that's original paint, I would wax the crap off it and leave everything how it is. |

Yeah I deserve that, it's the story you always hear about but never happens to you, the only way to buy old veedubs :P Rust in the headlight buckets and a couple holes down low along the bottom of the panels but minimal. Original color but painted over...and looking up close probably by Earl Scheib  |
