I am missing the rubber washer 111 857 241 behind the heating knob:
Can someone please provide me with the correct dimensions?
I'll need outer diameter and thickness.
Thanks all! |

| While on the subject I am also missing this on my 65, did all years with the lever have this and what is the purpose? |

I think this washer limits the movement of the lever for the lower position. For what reason? I don't know either. One thing what happens is that the lever hits the cutout of the panel on the lower position.
The upper position is limited by the internal movement of the flap. Maybe some kind of design flaw? |

Looking at the image a bit longer my conclusion is:
the lever being in the upper position you can slide the washer a bit forward against the metal bracket on the heating tube. That way it will prevent the lever from accidentally rotating back down. Although my lever would never rotate by itself (it rotates accompanied with a strident squeaking sound) I think this was the initial intention of the design...
My best guess for the dimensions would be:
outer dia 18mm
inner dia 8mm
height 12mm
Can someone please confirm or correct me? |
