Some people post the same question in multiple threads. While this act is discouraged, I can fully understand why someone would think it a good idea. The problem, you end up with two threads that may both contain good information. Would it be possible for a single thread to co exist in multiple forums? I.e. some odd piece of vintage speed gear could easily go in the engine/performance forum as well as the accessory forum. In this way, both forum inhabitants could post to the same thread and the discussion is logged as a single item. |

No idea if it's possible or not, but you hit the nail on the head there. If it were possible then why on earth would you ever restrict your question to just one forum? The "I need an answer and I NEED IT NOW!" mindset would kick in and chaos would quickly follow.
The more interesting phenomenon is the tendency of some people to answer the question and then, seeing it in a second forum, take the time and trouble to answer it in detail for a second time-- all within about 10 minutes. |

No, this is not possible. This is why there is a search. :) |
