From Terry’s Beetle Services in UK:

Probably the coolest Type 3 in the world !

Based on a 1967 Squareback mounted on a custom made chassis. Too many body mods to list and finished in a Porsche Polar silver.

Features carbon fibre interior trim, seats and one-off front and rear bumpers.

Power train is a 3.6 ltr 993 GT3 engine and 6 speed G60 gearbox.

Maybe I'm just getting old but I don't get it.
All I see is a hacked up VW.
I can definately appreciate all the work though. It appears to be top notch.

I'm with ya, that interior looks like shit.

I always liked the look of the louvers on Type 3s - I wouldn't have shaved them.

It looks interesting but the color, wheels, and overall design don't "pop" or really grab my attention.

I like the "radback" better. I think that's the correct name? The black customed out Squareback from France with the 914 2.0L in it.

:? Sorry, It doesn't rock my boat.

and it's a repost....

The car looks OK overall, except for the big square holes in the sides. If I look at it piece-by-piece though, I don't really see anything that I would consider an improvement over original - which is what I think is the point of customization.

Just buy a freakin' Porsche and be done with it!!!

Looks badass. I'd roll it.

sandshark Sat Nov 04, 2006 2:12 pm

hate the "german look"... the big square holes in the side look like absolute hell, and the piece of tin he hung off the ass end to hide the engine looks crappy too. Can't fault the workmanship... it looks top notch, but the design elements fall flat IMO...

A classic case of somebody spending too much time asking if they CAN do it, and not enough time asking if they SHOULD do it....

I hope you like it :)

psychosquirrel Tue Dec 26, 2006 7:15 am

Wah, Wah Wah! I dont like it (to each his own) Whoever buit this car(Good job) Not sure if its the coolest in the world, but it looks like a quality job, nonetheless.

Matt K. Tue Dec 26, 2006 8:15 am

The work is great, not much on the side vents and the black wheels. I guess with all that is done to the car i would expect a little more exterior "Flash".................i bet it does haul some a$$ though.
