Yo B,

FROM TACOMA: Take SR 16 north to the Old Clifton Road exit (there are signs that say Bremerton Raceway).

just got back. boy, 5 swappers and 6 showcars. crikey! some fast bugs though, in the 10s. early on, one fast bug dumped all his oil at the starting line and continued oiling the track all the way down, requiring an hour cleanup. then the junior slingshot lawnmover dragsters took over for too long. well, lookin' forward to next weekend.

john walker's workshop Sat Jul 12, 2003 2:36 pm

ok maybe 10 showcars.

i have to say, i was quite disapointed. i expected to stay aroud for at least a few hours, well how about 1. wasnt much there, but it was exciting to see all the bugs beatin those hondas, haha. Well see how next weekend goes, can somebody give me directions to sir from bremerton.

Hey Chad, take Hwy16 to I-5 N and then go to Hwy 18 East. Stay on that for about 10miles and you will see the signs for Pacific Raceways (S.I.R). It's one of the best shows of the year in my opinion. Races, swap, show, vibe. See ya there.

Hmm... we had 7 swappers and 12 show cars... not too bad for a first year run, next year will only get better! The show will only be $10 to enter your car if you pre-register. I was thinking about doing it for free but I didn't want everybody showing their car, just because... The drag turn-out was the best part of the event, and aside from Wayne's crash it went smoothly. Hope to see everyone out there again next year, and more!

chad, too bad you didn't stay around for longer than one hour. The place filled up. I had a great time. I talked with some fine VW owners. Some all the way from Canada. Looking forward to next year. Thanks Scott! We just don't have that many VW gigs this side of the pond (westside).

Roy,

Thanks for the thanks! We plan on doing it again next year, about the same time. We are looking for sponsors! We are going to setup a seperate website just for the show and do A LOT more advertising!

Scott
