My New Solex Carbs I got came with a rubber type gasket.
My gasket set has thin metal gaskets.
AM I supposed to use both? Or just Metal?
Whats the best setup to get a good seal?
There are actually 8 metal gaskets in the set.
I sandwiched the rubber in between the metal
similair to the muffler gasket, until I read ratwells site
saying that 4 of the thin metal is for 1700, and four are for 1800 :oops: |

I called CB performance,
And they instructed me to not use the metal gaskets, cause
they are prone to leaking.
Can someone tell me where to hook up all the vaccum hoses to?
I am not running a stock air cleaner, but I am running a Vaccuum
Can distributor. |

CB's SuperSeal gaskets are pretty good.
Dizzy vac should connect to ported vacuum from the carbs. All four manifolds should be tapped and connected then tee'd into a single hose that runs to the Brake Booster. |

John at aircooled told me to only tap into one manifold, he was very specific, but he didn't explain. That's John, I guess. Anyone know what the difference would be? |

When you say ported vacuum, what does that mean?
Both carbs have two ports coming out each, and one big
port which I think is for fuel.
My distributor has two ports |
