just want to know if 42 dcnf webers on a 1776 would be too much. The motor is in a squareback.

no, they'll work if you jet them down, maybe install some smaller venturis. If you have t3 manifolds, I'll buy them from you.

They work great.. i have 42 dcnf's on my 1776 with the short manifolds, its a lot of carb for the engine but they sound awsome when they open up.

did you have to rig something up to get them to fit? i want bigger carbs on my 1600 dp,it has weber 34's, i have a set of manifolds from a set of delortoes(sp) 34's. both of wich ill sale

just stay with the 34's on a 1600
that is just enough carb for you.

SpdRcer83..
As long as you have short manifolds there is no problem fitting, even with my air cleaners on i still have a bout an inch and a half of clearance. my engine is built but if you want more carb then do it. combine that with a header and higher flowing mufflers and you will get more power and rpm outta your 1600. I know CB performance now make a 44 idf kit that fits under the deck. it looks pretty awsome but its $610. thats a pretty penny but if you want em it would be worth it.
