Anyways, I was sitting at this stop sign when the guy in front of me shifted into reverse and backed right into me, mangling my front bumper. He hops out and starts being a real asshole to me, saying I should have backed up further(there was a car behind me). Anyways, need to find the MOST EXPENSIVE advertised price for a front overrider bumber for a '66. All the books I have are right around 130, but I know i've seen them for 350 before. Any help would be greatly appreciated. |

ho,
i feel for you! i'd price him an NOS blade from mark merz in sausalito. that'd fix him good! he sells them (blade only) for upwards of $500. and double that for overriders & supports. i'd not price him an aftermarket bumper if i was you. they don't always fit properly & remember, you'll be looking at that misfitted blade as long as you own your obviously beloved splitty. i don't think that's unreasonable, to restore your bumper to it's pre-stopsign-ass condition. i'd even tack on the cost of repainting the bumper to boot. heck, have someone quote you on straightening yours, painting & mounting. that's what your entitled too. why absorb any cost for an accident that was by no means any fault of yours! i think the offending driver was just trying to cover his own bacon by blamin you for being behind him. he musta been smokin' crack or something! good luck! |
