I bought a few things over the years, never had a problem. It's been awhile since I've bought from them but they have been around a long time,. They used to be a good source for OEM stuff, I'm not sure about quality now but it was very good when I was using them.

I got some convertible wood and an upholstery kit for my old 67 bug from them. I was pretty satisfied. Don't remember anything bad in the deal.
They used to have a bar-be-que at their facility way back when. Good people. |

I'll add to this. I've ordered from M&T several times and never had bad parts. They are helpful on the phone, I had a minor book keeping problem that they took care of.
The order process on line though it is only drawings and no photos is highly effective and easy to locate what you want.
My only complaint and it's a minor one is that I Paid for a catalog on my order. Now you'd think they would apply the $5 catalog credit in on that order? Nope, gotta order again.
Me, I'd throw in the catalog for free on an order, all orders! I figure keep people coming back and feeling good about the company.
Like I said minor complaint. I'll order again. I like that they are East Coast based and shipping is quick and cheaper as well in this West Coast based hobby!

My experience was not good.
Very poor fitting wood header bow for Ghia convertible. :(
This was so bad, way beyond the normal fitting and shaping. |

I tried them out for the first time this year because it looked like they had a good selection. When I ordered, it took forever to receive the things I ordered and then the parts were all wrong.
I gave the benefit of the doubt and ordered from them again a few months later. After ordering I got an E-mail saying that nothing I ordered was in stock AND they charged me 40+ dollars in shipping for a windshield wiper arm and a bag of screws... when it finally came in, the windshield wiper arm was all wrong and was even damaged. Mind you, the arm didn't come from them directly but a simple glance at it would have told them it was all wrong. I didn't waste my money even returning it - I was fed up.. they lost me as a customer forever. However, they did refund the heavy shipping cost after I wrote them. |

re: M & T Manufacturing.
Terrible trouble.
First looked at their web page and placed order-
got a message back prices were increase.
canceled part of the order (those items that were increased) will not buy from anyone who does this.
waited for credit for those items that were canceled, did not receive.
called Credit Card company, asked for charge to be held up. Finally, credit showed up. Called C.C. company and advised to ok charge. Still looking for the rest of the order. They will not answer my email now.
Stay away!! |

Just bought floor pans at M+T. I sprung for the pricier "only consistent 18 gauge" pans, both sides.
At $340 for both pans they are a deal compared to Woflsburg West. Living fairly close by I drove an hour from Boston to pick them up after paying over the phone. They make you do the order online, select "pay by check" and then call with the order number, and charge your credit card, less the shipping.. Picking up the pans saved me $120 on shipping so I was happy about that.
They operate out of a very small facility in a quiet rural area. It took me a minute to find someone there, the first door I went through put me in their tiny warehouse. Everything was clean and organized well. I got to see their stock and most of their sheet metal is Klokkerholm with a few exceptions. They had Ceramic coated stock Jopex exhausts. It seems like they sell whatever is currently available from the big distributors, which is fine, that's what is out there. They sell parts for other brands as well, which I was surprised to see. The pans I bought were indeed thicker steel than Klokkerholms pans I have bought before. They had a torn manufacture sticker on them, where the only thing left on them was "Made in Taiwan" Much like the WW pans they come with the rear cross member and jack points separate, however, the seat tracks ARE installed on these Taiwanese pans, so I doubt they come from the same factory as WW. The only real let down on the pans was the battery brackets and stud for the hold down clamp are not present. No big deal that can be added easily.
Overall I was happy with the transaction. They were very nice and helpful on the phone, accommodated me picking the stuff up when they are primarily a mail order operation, helped me load the stuff into my van, and the price was nice.
I would use them again but I think it is sound advise to call them up and ask exactly what part you are ordering, brand etc. Don't feel bad because they are not operating in an Indiana Jones style giant warehouse, its more like a big barn, they can look for you.
The pans look fine to me but I will certainly post back here if any problems crop up. |

Just bought the front inner fender area from them that the heater channel welds to. It was great! They were actually cheaper than some other vendors and with being so close to me they were here in one day! I'm definitely going to be ordering my parts through them now if I can. |

Just got Ghia/Thing pans from M&T Manufacturing. They say 18g (thicker than stock?) and made in USA.
My welder was a little concerned about them being thicker than stock but they werent too thick to work easily. They came quickly. Painless process.
I also made a second order for seat rails. They called then emailed me to discuss fitment issues, bc I ordered bug rails but showed Thing as my vehicle (on the order form).
Good service all around. I will order from them in the future for sure. |

I bought their new replacement windshield for my '73 Super Beetle. Pure junk, was cut badly and did not properly fit the opening at the lower corners, even using a new westcoastmetric seal. I found out on a trip up i95 during which it rained for 5hrs+ non-stop.
I replaced it with an original old VW one. The badproportions of mtm's were easy to see with the old and new laid together.
I contacted them about this, no reply. Even tried calling them. Nothing. Pure crap, almost $600 down the drain between the windshield, ruined seal, and cost to install it.
I will never use mtm again. |

Made a order last week shipping to California was pretty fast but they sold me the famous Kuhltek Motorwerks junk SVDA distributor has .015 of play in the bushings came in a beat to heck box. They make it seem like they have a better sourced product with a nice picture that doesn't match. Wish they were a bit more honest. Seals were just EMPI stuff wont be buying from them again. |
