Is it a Barndoor Kombi? Big engine lid, no front air vent, etc.?
Probably more than $3500 if so. |

| that sounds like it. . I already sold it with out looking into it. Sold it for 50$. it was a package deal for a manx I wanted. I wanted the manx and the owner wanted the bus out of his yard. left by his son years before. I never gave it any thought I know it was worth more just did not care at the time. now I wish I still had it. I like the looks of a bus. |

all I know it was a 55 on the title and it looked like #3 with kombi on the poll thread here http://www.thesamba.com/vw/forum/viewtopic.php?t=210820&start=0
I dont know what a kombi is. It was a 55 bus to me. but when I seen this photo it reminded me of the bus. .
it had a huge door on the rear. small door/window over that if I remember. I only had it for a few weeks and did nothing with it. I was just asking for the hell of it. as I stated I sold it. and have no idea to who. Sorry guys that want info onit. |

Side doors that open up in different directions not sliding... is what I think of ... could be wrong. what does it matter to my question?
It was a very vague question with vague numbers for an answer. |

Barndoors have a big engine compartment.
Example:
Barndoor refer to the large engine compartment. March, 1955 was the start of the normal small engine lid and there is a HUGE price difference between a January/February Kombi and a March or later Kombi. Assuming all other things are equal. |
