Mr. Loogy...i have been considering and SVX conversion using the RJES and only wishing i could find detailed info..and BAM...there it was. In living color no less. I then decided to gather info on an STI conversion...and BAM....there it was, in living color again. I am so impressed with the quality of your design and production and detail (and pictures/documentation) that if I were a woman...well I won't go there...but yea, that's how impressed I am. Beautiful work.

I will be watching intensely and waiting to hear your take on SVX vs STI performance for the Vanagon. Will all the extra fab work on the STI be worth it? That is my biggest question now: performance? Yea, they're both powerful but the ride; what about "the ride"??? You must post some video!!!!! Thanks for all the time it takes to document post this stuff.

In the mean time i'll work on some neighborly things for you to do...

Nighttime hidden cameras will have an infra-red light on them. The light is usually not visible with the naked eye unless you are looking directly at it. Many camcorders have a built in night vision. If you looked through one that was such equipped it would show the infra-red light coming from other cameras very dramatically (floodlights).

Unfortunately, things are getting much worse, so we are selling our house and hopefully moving on to a more peaceful way of life in a new location. Once we get settled into a new place, I will definately get back on this project. Thanks for the interest not only in the project, but in our well being. It will all turn out for the better.

That's too bad. Neighbors from Hell are one of the worst things to deal with.

Now, I too wanna know. Is it really bad neighbors? That bites, if true. But, if true, there may be legal ways to deal with it, I would guess. But, then again I don't know. I know I really don't like it when it impacts the kids. Kids can not thrive in an environment that stresses them. I make it a priority to get along with the neighbors. Good luck, your Samba buddies all feel for you. Now just how feel good mushy is that? It is heartfelt, though.

Without going into any more details, yes to everything you said. Legal methods have only strengthened these peoples desire to be mean and nasty. Life is too short to waste my time playing mind games with some jerk with a chip on his shoulder and unfortunately, there is no ignoring it. Mostly for our kids sake, we have made the choice to move on and hopefully put this behind us.

Honestly, no new news on the conversion, but not for lack of motivation. Like many of us, life has a way of of dictating what we do with our free time. Combine that with a flourishing small business, a young family and other things and well, this project is on the eternal back burner.

I have not given up, but it is not the current priority.
