Hey All.. Picked this up at the Copperstate swapmeet for very little... from a very cool local seller. Can someone post some pictures of exactly how and where (what angle etc) it mounts on the generator and will it ONLY fit the old Generators?

Hallo DB,
The hole at Twelve 0' Clock is a locater to index on the Generator. You will notice the hole has a Lip on the inside.
These "Brush Covers" were used on numerous Bosch Generators for different Autos..........25hp VW and Pre A Porsche are two that I know I about.

Have Gathered up 3 missing pieces of my engine in just a few days... several more to go.. :)
