well, after redoing almost the entire interior, and some final tweaking on the engine, all with the help of my step-father, my '74 Super is now back on the road, fully legal. there are still some things i need to do in order to get it to where i want it, but she's now fully driveable and my primary source of transportation as of today.
i'm quite happy, i haven't driven her regularly in nearly three years, and she's been sitting in storage for well over a year. i was pleasantly surprised to find that the engine was still in great condition, only needing a few small things done to it. cosmetically, that's a much different story, but it's almost completed now.

i don't have any pics at the moment, no. but soon i will. i was going to wait until i got the new paint job, but i think i'll take a few within the next few days.

it's nowhere near as nice as yours, but i'm still quite proud.

Thanks Great_American. The good thing about pictures, is if you take them from far enough off, any paint job looks nice. heh!

That's the damned truth...the 71 super I have http://www.superbeetles.com/galleries/gallery8.htm
(it's the orange one on the truck) looks fantastic from about 50 yards! One of the worst paint jobs I have ever seen when you get close though...runs, eggshell, thick, thin, overspray, poor prep and body work. Thinking about having the whole thing done over...anyone have a ballpark figure on a good paint job... parts hung and all that?
