I have an engine out of a 75 and was just wondering how hard is it to convert this to a carburator

Remove the fuel pup (under the right ft fender)and install a carb/maiifold kit and a stock fuel pump or if your block dosn't have the fue pump hole, install a small elec 2.5/4# pump. We like the Progessive carb on stree cars. See -> http://1800vw.bizhosting.com/progressive_carb_kit_269_95.html and fuel pump -> http://1800vw.bizhosting.com/fuel_pump_electric.html

I recently got finished with this job.....if at all posible dont do it. It is a pain. Little things don't quite line up, like the voltage regulator and the throttle cable(this one cost me much time and trouble). If you decide that it must be done, you will need new heads to fill the temp. sensor hole, and a new intake manifold. You should probibally get a new fan shroud because drilling in you old one can be a night mare if drilled in the wrong spot. (For the throttle cable) Also make sure you do NOT cut the wires coming from your double relay. Good luck.
