| My '74 bug initially wouldn't change down into 2nd without doing a double de-clutch. Now it is flatly refusing to go up into 2nd or down into 2nd....ie. I have no operable 2nd gear! What do I need to do? is it a garage and engine out job? Help! |

| Did you try the sifter plate.. my trannys Sync got stuck in 2nd gear because the shifter plate was off.. and i did have to pull both the Tranny and Motor |

| I can get 2nd when I'm stopped and engine off but not with the engine running. Haven't tried the shifter plate, thanks for the tip! |
