i will NOT be buying parts from joe again.....paid him a month and a half ago for parts id pick up and hes still dragging his feet....any reputable dismantler could have easily had these pulled and shipped to my door in three weeks

I bought a jack advertised in the Split Bus parts section from Joe. It arrived quickly, but after cleaning it up and oiling it I realized it was a Bay/Thing jack. I emailed him the day it arrived telling him and he said he didn't know there was a difference between jacks. I told him we both learned a lesson and wanted to return it for him to re-sell as a Bay/Thing jack, not a Split Bus jack. For the next few days he dodged the question of whether or not he would take it back - asking if the jack could be modified to be correct, emailing back one liners and not answering the question, etc. I kept trying to tell him if he agreed to take it back we'd both only be out the shipping, because he could re-sell it (and probably for more money since I cleaned it up).

Today I started to press him on refunding the money and accepting the jack back. During 13 (!) emails back and forth he finally he responded with: "It was not my mistake... you have to know what you're buying", and "I've bought wrong parts before... own up to it", to which I decided to stop wasting my time told him to F off. He had the opportunity to be cool about the whole situation, but he chose to go back and forth with me via email for a week instead of agreeing to make it right when I emailed him the day it arrived. If he'd allowed me to return it I'd be posting to say how cool about it he was, but instead this turns out to be another cautionary tale and another jerk I'm adding to my classifieds ignore list.

Bought a rebuilt auto trans last year paypal payment says Aug 30, so I would have received trans by mid sept. I never got around to installing till May of this year. Read my story at thread "auto trans questions". Joined the trans/diff and installed as per Bentley manual. Got no good out of this trans and no help from VW Joe only ship it back at my cost of course. Why bother when he said he doesnt have trans dyno to test it. But if you still believe his trans rebuilds are good ive got one here for sale......After $1075.00 payment to eVWparts i have a pile of junk here. If you need more info. send me a message.
