Trying to find info on switching the type 3 axels to type 1, I've be looking all night still no luck. All I need is a link or 2. Thanks

talk to Luis with the white 64 (he's an Aircooler in San Antone) - I just sent him about 3 PMs referencing this exact thing with options

i have a notchback that is that way, but with t1 rear brakes (PO mod) and there are some issues he didn't address.

1) if you run short axles with the bug rear brakes you need a brake bias valve installed!!! i found out the hard way when the fronts locked up on a wet roadway. t3 rear brakes are BIGGER, so the bug brakes unbalance the car's ability to stop under control.

2) the brake lines for the bug rear end are shaped different, so you will need a tubing bender to reroute them.

remember, this is only for if you do a bug axle/tranny swap w/ bug brakes.
