I have a NOS heater knob/cable like this one.
This is the style used on '49 split window bugs.
The one I have had a piece of masking tape with a 211 part number when I got it and the cable is 9'7" long from the bottom of the knob. Way too long for a beetle.
They only made about 8 barndoors in '49. Has anyone ever seen one with this style heater knob?
All the early ones I have ever seen have the '50 thru '52 split bug style handle.

| My bus (9301) has an original heater knob that looks just like that, but its black. I have a spare NOS one as well, with a bus part number, and longer than a bug one. I think that there are quite a few of those heater knobs/cables around, probably more around than busses that take them. |
