i've lost my notes! how many inch/lbs are the bolts suppose to be torqued too?

Bentley doesn't say, and neither does Haynes. However, oil pump nuts are 14 ft.lbs, and oil strainer plate cap nuts ar 5 ft.lbs., so I would lean towards about 12-14 max for that size stud/bolt/nut combo.

Damn it, I have to do it all. 5 ft lbs.

I'd add that with as low as 5, I'd use self-locking nuts to make sure they can't vibrate loose.

60 inch/lbs it is... thanks russ! just one more thing i get to change/fix/redo on the GEX 1904

let's see, that's now:
make deck height on both sides even
replace rocker shims with actual rocker shims
cut new pushrods to be the same length on both sides
make compression the same on both sides
reset the 'front GEX' tuned carbs to not run extremely lean
rebuild the heads
redo the oil cooler seals

all but the last was done at 4400 miles on this 'turnkey' the PO bought. at least the oil cooler seals lasted 35,000 miles. doh!
