Hi everyone - I'm wondering if there's a way to force a window into the up position. My motor just broke and right now the window is 6-12" open.

| Unbolt the glass from the bracket, slide it up, put a phillips screwdriver through the door and the glass plate to hold it up. |

| The broken part in your photo is not motor related, its part of the regulator. You may need a new power window regulator. VW 251837462 (passenger side) $100 |

| Easy enough to replace the broken rivet(?) that let the guide hang loose with a bolt, but its a PITA to get the cable that is all scrunched up back out and into the proper alignment again, but it can be done. |
