This is my Girls car , a little bit lowered and on Baby Fuchs alloys. Last year i bought this vintage roofreck especially for type 3.

I have two Q`s and hope you guy`s can help me.

- I`m searching for the rubbers which should be under the pipe`s off the reck
- I`m searching for a rear window rubber

Thanks Wouter

Hello Wouter:
BEAUTIFUL Fastback!!! You may have to fabricate the roofrack rubbers, that should be easy to do.
If you cannot find rear window rubber in Europe, contact ISP West (PIMPPRIDE) on here. The DDB may be able to help you out as well.

Incidentally, your Fastback is actually a 1966 model year produced after 1. August 1965. (disc brakes, 1600, 4- lug wheels). They did not produce an actual 1965 fastback (TL), although quite a few early 1966 models seem to have been mistitled as 1965s.

Hey Tram , thanx for your reply.

This one is licensed 1 September 1965 in The Netherlands ,
chassisnumber 316012850.

Modelyear 1966 , so this one must be a early one...

I saw this in the gallery and put the night pict as background on desktop for the current feature..cause it looks so good. The rack does set it off. And the brightwork along the gutter.

VolksWoute, that roof rack is unique. Where did you but it?

The rack is found by Xavier from "Het Boxertje" magazine and he sold it thru a local workshop.

Hey DONGKG ,no thanks , are you gonna order a reck?

I'd want an Airstreme if I had a fasty or beetle! Dong & Pedro will probably just copy it! :D

Well, I'll try to check that, but it looks expensive. I have a rook rack for my Fasty called Shary 2. But since I installed a ragtop, I'll just keep the ragtop. OR install it sometime. This is the picture.

DONGKG , what kind of ragtop did you use?

COFBack , thanx!

Yesterday , i started too part out a double intake 1600 engine. I will build it up with new cilinders , pistons and new cilinderheads.
The old engine is consuming 1 liter oil at 200km`s (125Mile)....

A couple of weeks ago , i drove with the fasty to a local workshop for some engine parts and on there parking lot there was this all original Fasty.
