i was wondering if they made brake line kits out of (kunifer)? if so, who :?:

kunifer much better, {similar stuff to what pennies are made of} will not corrode ever, has a very high pressure bursting rate.....

after 1982 pennies were made of an alloy..that much copper was worth more then a cent, so save you old pennies :wink: ....

Regular Bundyflex (a common US brand of tubing) has a little copper in it.
I figure it's good enough for me. Strong, no cracking. It will rust out, but here in the rust belt, it usually takes 30 years. I figure the next 30 should be easier on the vehicle. After that, it will be my heirs' problem.

but does it come in kits? for a split bus?...id like to do it right, but i dont wanna bend and flare the lines my self..otherwise i guess ill use steel line kits....what do yall use>? :?:

Don't know of any ready made kunifer kits for splits. Just got the steel kit from wolfsburg west and its got a sort of anodised coating on it so it should last a good long time. FWIW I'm replacing the Og 53 year old lines that dont even leak. How long do you need your lines to last? Also one of the main benefits of the kunifer lines is that they are easier to flare and bend than steel. If you're buying the kit this isn't really an issue.

Kunifer is a copper nickel alloy

i guess your right. the OG lines lasted this long- probably longer if it didnt sit for 25-30 years... i live in Alaska and i dont wanna drive it in the winter, but if i do the steel lines wont implode :P ...i think the coating is teflon...are you happy with your kit from wolfsburg?..

Dunno. I just got them in the mail a couple weeks ago and haven't gotten around to installing them yet. They look nice enough, good flares and hardware etc. If they fit OK I'll be happy with them. They are German made which I thought was pretty cool.
