My decklid is bad out of adjustment ,i tried several times to get the rear gap correct, but finally gave up and used hood standoffs(ugly) ,is there a way to adjust, also i have a set of chrome style hinges are all hinge mounts the same

There are 2 ways to adjust the fit. The bolts slide back and forth on the hinge. 2nd adjustment is where the hinges bolt onto the body. Loosen the 3 bolts on each hinge and you can slide them around for adjustment.

And if all of that adjustment fails to align the deck lid you might have to try bending one or both of the hinges.

Think about the adjustment that you are making NOT while the lid is up and you can see the bolts. Which way does it need to go? Use a little reversed psychology as up may be down and in is out considering the hinge. Figure it out before fresh paint is applied. And yes, check out the fastener surfaces for flatness. You might need to account for "tweeked" components and might need a better part or repair (straighten) the one that you have. One of my favorite things to do is make body lines TRUE.
