nice looking car but that clear dizzy cap should be replaced with a german one. They are prone to cracking and are very cheap quality.

Very nice ride! What wheel / tire combo are you running? Are they the same on all four corners?

Machinegunnjo Thu Jul 19, 2007 7:51 am

Very nice, I too recently bought that exhaust do to a suggestion by baja5. It is really clean, i just absolutely love it. Its queit so when i drive my on the streets the cops do not pay much attention. Its a awesome value ceramic coated. How do you like the single 40/44mm carb? i have dual 40mm kadrons and have been wonder if i would get the same performance out of it since both the carbs are single. While the single carb has dual ports? i dont know too much about it...thankyou xsocalpbx keep up the clean work

NICE ride.... IT is always good to keep a few spare parts in the back seat when going off roading. dizzy cap for sure.

Duel carb set up will work better on street for off road the 1 center carb is best due to fuel slosh is reduced.

I have duel 44's on my off road buggy. half the work is keeping it running on the rough stuff.

i too got the exhaust to replace my super trap to keep the cops off my butt on the street too haha i personally like only having 1 carb because its just much easer too tune in for your motor but the only thing i dont like it that i have worked on my dads old buggy with had dual 40s on it and it was much easer to reach some of the bults around the alternator stand and what not but other then i love it

thank you the front tires are bf Goodrich 7.00 - 15 i don't know what that means but probably something to tire ppl haha and the rear tires are good year 31x10.5

Very clean baja! I see lot's of fun desert trips in your future!!! :D

Nice first car! Did your dad pass it down to you?

*Edit* Never mind....just read your other thread....cool that your parents matched your savings! That's what I plan to do for my daughter....she's 13 and has NO grasp on the concept of saving her money.

Not trying to be rude, but I think you need to re-think your rear shock mounts.

It appears they are straight up and down when the car is just sitting. If this is incorrect, disregard what im saying.
For the best dampening and most use of the travel of the shock, you want them to be 90* (degrees) from the trailing arm at full compression.
With the way you have it now, the shocks would actually be leaning back when the suspension is at full bump.

Also, what are the shocks mounted to?

And were you at pomona the show before the last one June 3rd? Im pretty sure I saw your car there.

hey thanks i rather know about a problem then not know at all and to my eye and degree finder talent they are not 90 degrees when the car is sitting they seem to be about 10 degrees leaning towards the engine give or take a few so i think the person that built them did it correct

here r some better pics

and for how they are mounted they are tied into the roll cage through the fender well

and i do believe it was although i did not own the car at the time i believe the po did take it to the Pomona show

thanks for the heads up on the shocks by the way

the shocks are mounted wrong, they need to be 90 degrees to the trailing arm at full compression
