2.5 CB drops
135 Diamondback whitewalls ($650 Nankangs with a white wall cut into them :shock: )
flipped tie rods
Chrome Rader repops ( still hasnt grown on me with the WW's,.. so stocks are going back on)

REAR

current set up...
KCW 2 inch tranny raise
2 outers
145 Diamondback white walls
Chrome Rader repops
notched spring plates

currently look like this:

Stockers going back on soon,.. possibly some other color than red

Up front

7 1/2" beam no shocks SAW adjusters built by me.
CB drop spindles built by me.
Flipped tie rods.
3 1/2" spindle mount wheel with a goodyear 125 temp.

In the back

67 axles
3 and a half clicks
5" Randar with a 165
The shocks that came with the car

I tried to go 4 clicks in the back. The shocks wouldn't fit and the tires hit the body.

My 58:

Front-

4" beam, no shocks. Built by me
CB spindles
Hammered headlight buckets
175/60R14 on Bus wheels
Didn't rub too bad except on the top of the tires
Same tires on the 6"? wide 14" Pacers
Tires rub BAD both on top, inside (a little) and outer fender lip
Bottom SAW adjuster broke off, car continually lowers itself.
Same tires on the 6"? wide 14" Pacers
Rear-

3 notches down
165R15 on smoothies rubbed on inside fenderwell at the top after a couple months of driving
No shocks
195/65R15 on the Pacers don't rub, but are REAL close on the inside (too tall for me)
Bottomed out stock shocks
Notched springplates with extensions made by me, modified Hobbes design.
Short axles

No shocks (bounces all over but I'm deciding what kind to get)

245 45 17 on 17x8 Rims with some huge backspacing...
Air Cylinders on instead of shocks (Formerly Airkewlds air shocks)

Rear:

2500 LB Bag
No torsions
Crazy Notched Spring Plates
Airkewlds original bag bracket setup.
Short ass shocks...

If i put some tiny wheels on it like all you guys have it would sit flat on the ground... Sorry about these horrible pictures... The pic of just the pan is the best i had to show for the clearance I have.

Scrubs the fender a lil at full drop while turning. but other than that with a lil steering bump stop it scrubs nothing.

Edit #2; Caster shims. I've dropped my front about 5 inches, and only have one set up front. Should I be using 2 sets of shims and lowered ball joints and lowered shocks?

Here is mine. I have a 6.5 in. beam, 2.5in. spindles, no shocks in front, 145's in front on factory wheels and 205/60's out back. All around drums. The beam is adjusted almost all the way up. Some rubbing on the inside top when turning but none on the fenders. Need some caster shims and I will be happy. It rides pretty smooth otherwise.

Here is mine.

Front

~6 inch narrowed front by me with stock bushings. SAW adjusters, only the top one is in, no shocks. Also no drop spindles...yet.

145/65R15 Continentals in the front with smashed buckets. They still rub.

Rear

2 splines down with stock shocks. It bottoms out all over the place, the tires rub the fenders on big bumps and have about 1/4 of room before they hit the suspension items. Also notched spring plates. 165R15 tires.

Needs drop spindles so I can get the front a bit lower.

Doesn't sound like your current set-up is working out so great. Maybe you could get some 175/55's up front instead because with future drop spindles and your current tires, you'll rub even worse. I hate to hear people pounding the backs of the headlight buckets, I just don't think it's really necessary most of time. Spindles will help center the front tires back in the wheel well and lessen or eliminate the headlight scrubs with 175's.

He isnt talking about 145/80 Nankang.. he has the NEW 145/65
which is smaller than a 135

The drop spindles will move his front wheels BACK in the fenderwell and reduce the amount of rubbage.

A car without spindles that is low, gets that volksrod look as the wheels go to the VERY front of the fenderwell.

a 175 55 WILL work, but its so wide that it will rub the inner fender like HELL with a 6" beam when turning

Update... Changed to stock wheels, so actually narrowed the front track by a HAIR

front has air shocks with 125 temps and stock width beam
rear is solid on stock plate that need notched 3 outer spilnes i think may be 4?? 165 tires all on polishe 5 spokes...rear air to be continued Sorry shitty camera

125 temps on a 5.5 is a terrible idea.

go with a 175/55/15 PLEASE before you hurt yourself or someone else.

Would love to see some life back in it! Working on my dream at the moment, but would love to see other pics of peeps playing in the dirt!

More names of places to get 4" narrowed beams be cool, but I think i have mine picked out.

Ok sled was right 125 temps are very bad!!!! went back to 4.5 steelys and 135's on them. The 125 was short and worked when i only drove it 5 miles to and from work but on a 70 plus mile trip they melted and in a town of like 30 people i was up shi# creek with no spare tires in town.
