View original topic: Trapped air - bleeding brakes?

I am in the process of bleeding the brakes on my VW Camper and have come across a problem on the right hand side rear wheel.

No matter what I do, I can see no end to the amount of air bubbles coming out of the afforementioned rear wheel, the others are fine and bleed well after about five pumps of the pedal.

The reservoir has never been allowed to dip enough to allow air back into the system, and yet air is still trapped on this rear wheel only.

Is there anything I can do to remove the trapped air in the rear wheel, the other's are fine?

I have adjusted the rear brakes prior to carrying out the operation.

Any ideas?

Sounds like if all others are ok then there is a leak in that area. Steel line or rubber flex line on that side. Take a look for any wet spots. Maybe a bad wheel cylinder and sucking air back through the seal. The wheel cylinder may not leak on the pressure side but on the release side. Meaning it may not leak when you push on the pedal but when you let up. So it may not look wet but is leaking in and not out. Just some ideas.
