hi guys,
Sorry one more question after i saw one of the thread shows the 1954 seats and i could not find these parts in my car. the parts are from 16 - 20 shows in the pic below. Can you find yours? do you have any pic of your rear seat to show this so i know how to fit them in my car? i have checked CiP1 has the pasts listed from 16-20.

From a 1957 sedan:
From a 1962 convertible:
And how it mounts to the seat:
I'm not sure what type of clip mounts to the body on a '54 vert though. |

A 54 doesn't have a strap. It just sits back against the knob. |

I see... What year did they add the strap (to a vert)? |

I am not too sure Kev, I got the link from one of the thread here and it says is for 54, but really not sure is it for convertible or sedan. I am not too sure is it a must for the strap ?
thanks ! |

My 55 has the original interior and there is no strap. You really don't need it. |

My 54 vert for some reason has a little hook on the rear of the rear seat which looks to be for a strap of some kind? but thier is no strap in the vert when I purchased it.
Why would VW do that (no strap) when I hit the brakes the rear seat back rest falls forward all the time :?: |
