I have no idea where I found this (probably The Samba) but thought it is interesting. It looks like VW did make a panel crew cab.

So I'm reading that German and I'm picking up that this is the 'links' DC. Described as having just two doors, so no cargo door on the right side? Hope it was a walk-through so they could get to the cargo/passenger space. What is the Zusatzabteil and why/how is it closed (geschlossenem)?
Now how about the 'rechts' DC? Sounds like a double door DC with windows all around. Corner windows? Pic of that one? |

hi! ...so as the picture says 'links' and 'rechts', which means left and right, I suppose this came from a brochure or old magazine, showing 2 pictures, so 1 is missing here, the 1 one this photo is the left one:
'...seltene Ausfüring einer Doppelkabine mit lediglich zwei Türen' means:
'rare version, a crewcab witn ONLY (= lediglich) 2 doors' !!!
and 'geschlossenen zusatzabteil' is 'closed extra compartiment', so the back is colsed, no doors, no windows!'
then, they talk about the one on the right (=rechts), which is NOT on this picture, but it says STANDARD crewcab with 'Voll-Verglasung' so windows all around, no corner windows I guess, BUT it says 4 DOORS !!! so probably 2 very rare versions!! |

Thanks for the translation help! I studied German a long time ago, but even then mostly just made up interesting compound words when drinking. |

So you must be the guy that offered $3000 more for after the seller already made a deal (and took a $5000 deposit) with someone else?
Quote:
Hey Greg, Thanks for all the info, but the guy screwed me on Friday. After I wired him 5K in the morning he called and said someone offered him 3K more for the bus. I could meet him in the middle at an additional $1500 or he could send me my money back and give me $500 for giving me the run around. I wasnt willing to pay him more after we already had a deal and he accepted my offer and collected the more than generous $5k deposit.
That whole deal says a lot about the seller and you. |

I appreciate you looking out for my financial well being as well as the sellers but last time I checked you weren't my accountant. The "other buyer" did not match offer, do the numbers. I've been on the other end before so I understand the guys feelings that sent the deposit. Seller did not tell me what was done as far as deposit amount or agreed on selling price. SO, to recap I did not undermine your buddy in offering more just to secure my buying this bus.
That whole deal says a lot about the seller and you. #-o |

Mike, don't sweet it. You did nothing wrong, you played by the rules on ebay. You just finished the ebay auction the way it sould have finished the first time. If someone puts and car or part on Ebay... Let the Ebay add run to the end. And if there is something on ebay for sale , this is what you get for working a back door deal! Sorry if this pisses someone off, just calling it like i see it! |

It is true.. the guy with this quote, nailed it. The only thing he left out was I was supposed to have all my money the day he gave me the deposit. He said I had to wait another week for the remainder..That wasn't the original deal..Minor details..I think meeting in the middle was more than fair. Also giving him $500 for his troubles is more than fair. I didn't have to offer any of that..Why Mr. Greg Banfill feels the need to involve the Samba in this stupid BS shows me what kinda drama queen he is... |
