Go speed racer asked for these a while back. Sorry it took so long

John,
side view of cage

Top view of running boards

I tied the running boards into the cage with 1/4 plate that sandwiches the pan in between the cage . The arm supporting the running board is 1/2 x2 and the running board is made with 1 1/2 x 3 x120 wall sq. tubing with a lot of welding grinding and sanding.

It's really a very nice job you did John. One day (maybe next year), I'll have a 6 point roll bar a little like yours done to put in my yellow Thing. I really like the roof rack too as I already told you. thanks for these pics.

Beaut!

Here's that last pic:

Thanks Ian , I didn't realize it didn't come up Thanks for teaching me how to post {img]'s

You can also see how I ported the rear arm so my emergency brake cable runs through it.

That is a pretty sweet setup! I was trying to come up with some ideas for a roll bar design. None of mine have been that detailed.

Very well thought out. Great idea for the sandwich mount.
Thanks for the post.

Got my vote. Lucky I saw it at a show in CA a few years ago and it looks better as time goes on. Props to john
