I thought I might share the progress of my 58 with you guys.

Side Profile

Fun House Roof - Rafferty is on the left.

It was a bare metal restoration.

As I bought it almost 20 years ago.

Thanks for looking and thanks to Mark Rafferty for polishing the turd that no one thought could be restored.

So when are you expecting to have it driveable & back on the road?

Touch Nicks Thing Wed Oct 03, 2007 6:31 am

skeet skeet!

Congratulations, Neil. It's come a long way since I first saw it in '90 or '91. You should post a list of every panel that's been replaced.

Nice goin, Neil. Now everyone is going to be asking MR to come out of paint retirement and paint their turds!

i really like the primered bottom. are those the original colors?

EverettB Wed Oct 03, 2007 8:25 am

Wow, that is looking great.

Was it rusty original paint to start? Just curious because the front turn signal seals look painted red but it looks like original paint with the logos.

npbusguy Wed Oct 03, 2007 8:34 am

Those are the original colors and it is an original pressed bumper 15 window, luckly both bumpers were on the bus when I got it
The bus had an old repaint, so that is why the bullet seals were painted.
I plan on putting the original interior back in the bus and do intend on driving the bus when it is put back together. It will not be driven in the salty Chicago winters though.
